Robert Frank The Americans

In 1955, Robert Frank crossed the US thanks to a Guggenheim Grant. He only published 80 of his images, prefaced by Jack Kerouac, and accused of being anti-American by the critics. Today this fork is a cult classic of photographic history.

Michael Ackerman Half Life

A hallucinatory constellation of images of exile and phantoms, where places and people draw you in with the same black aura. Half Life implicates the spectator in his borderline experience.

michael ackerman Fiction

Fiction suprises first in its ability to escape all narration. Beings, places, situations are neither identified, nor localised. A burst of night, fragments of destined meeting, fugitive and opressive sequence shots, weave together what Ackerman calls "a way of talking more mysterious than language".

michael ackerman End Time City

In these photographs, time finds itself at once unwound and compressed in the same frame, that of Benares between 1993 and 1997.

Koudelka

This retrospective work, punctuated with input by Robert Delpire, Dominique Eddé, Michel Frizot, Anna Fàrovà, Petr Kral, Otomar Krejca, Pierre Soulages, and Gilles Tiberghien, assembles all the different facets of Koudelka’s work and shows its constant progression and intensity.

Josef Koudelka Chaos

This book assembles a choice of panoramic images that characterize Koudelka’s vision of the last fifteen years ; a virulent report of the anarchy humans impose on nature and themselves, the images compose a dream-like space, an "away" that is deserted, undated, and just barely placeable.

Sarah Moon1.2.3.4.5 Nadar Prize 2008

More than a retrospective, the five volumes in this boxset show the route of one who has become a great photographer. Since her beginnings, though she develops imagery in time with her epoch, she has always had a unique and recognizable regard.

William Klein Contacts

Marc RiboudDemain Shanghai

For me, says Riboud, cities are like friends, I want to check up on them, to see whether they’ve changed. And my passion to photograph everything that moves, that changes, has never been so stimulated, so filled,as with each return to Shanghai.

Michel Vanden eeckhoudt Duo

Monkey or dog, animals strange or familiar, Michel Vanden Eeckhoudt does not differentiate. He fixes a moment of meeting between two beings, so close, so different. Beyond the bizarre, beyond the comical nature that underscores without caracaturizing, there is a respect of the other, a tenderness, a humility in his photographs that charges them with rare emotion.lity in his photographs that charges them with rare emotion.

Antoine Gonin Horizons

Antoine Gonin understands, with great delicacy, the inexhaustible richness that the French countryside possesses. The work assembled in this book, which is the fruit of his patience, curiosity, and attentive eye, is an exaltation of discovering our country’s architectural and natural heritage.

antoine GoninEloge de l'avenir

harry gruyaert Made in Belgium

The reunion of two belgian artists among all those who are held in high regard, Hugo Claus and Harry Gruyaert, could only generate a strong and profoundly original work : this poem is not a report, but a poem of two voices that speak of the love-hate they harbor for their country.

Josef Koudelka Exils

The sense of private mystery that fills these photographs - mostly taken during Koudelka's many years of wandering through Europe and the United States since leaving his native Czechoslovakia - speaks of passion and reserve, of his "rage to see". The images here interrogate and penetrate, and reflect the nature of alienation.
